How The Ads Marketplace Works

Leafzine Ads is a two-sided marketplace: creators can sell ad inventory in their own books, and advertisers can buy that inventory to reach readers. Billing supports CPM, CPC, or Hybrid pricing. Spend and earnings are tracked event-by-event so both sides know exactly what happened.

What Gets Tracked

When readers reach a page with an ad, the system records impressions. When a reader clicks the ad CTA, the system records a click event and updates billing. For every billable event, advertiser spend is debited, publisher earnings are credited by revenue share, and campaigns automatically pause when budget is exhausted.

Suggested starting ranges: CPM $5-$12, CPC $0.40-$1.20, revenue share 60%-75%. Increase rates only after proving high engagement quality.
